Well, this was a nightmare. 2/5 - purely because the amount of times I no clipped out of the map - I couldnt find the 5th beacon? Ended up following a light behind the big gate, tried for about 20 minutes alone just to get to it, nothing there. Managed to get behind the big gate, 35 mins in total and I had to quit out because I ended up stuck. A few fixes needed there.

Played the game, it was a lil eerie very beautiful tho

Hi Alex.
I played your game a long time ago, I posted the video on it, really loved it. I just wanted you to tell that there is a new game, which is exactly like yours, here is the link:
https://ben-anderson.itch.io/scigic
Just for you to know, I don't know how much that person was influenced by your game, but it's definitely the same premise, the same design and the same mechanics as yours. Just, letting you know, in case you want to take action.

Nice little game, had fun testing it!

Okay, I'm sorry, but I have to say that I feel like the people giving it high ratings were just being nice.

The game took me 17 minutes to complete, and 15 minutes of that was just running across a featureless white expanse.

The "learn about your motivations" part never happened. You get like four lines of dialogue total, and none of them explain where Joanne is trying to go, where she came from, what she's trying to accomplish etc.

Same with the setting; other people are saying something about robots, but I never got close enough (or needed to get close enough) to any of the patrolling enemies to find out.

Honestly, games generally need one of two things to be good; fun gameplay, or an engaging story. This had neither.

I'd give it a 2/5, it rises above 1 because at least it isn't buggy and you don't get stuck on geometry or clip through walls or anything. But there's just... nothing here. You made a map, then plopped down 5 interactables, some mobs, and a few set pieces.

Thank you for all your  valuable feedback !

Yeah I'm sorry man, I don't want to be a dick about it or anything, I just felt like there wasn't enough there.

What I'd say is:

Either shorten the distance between the beacons, increase movement speed, or have something happen in between them;

Have some sort of additional exposition, maybe in the form of notes or something at each beacon or at spots halfway between them

Some sort of interaction or an area that funnels you past some of the sentries so that you have to actively avoid them instead of just looping around them

Some sort of scenery, like the little area at the beginning with the rusted out bus and the other decorations was interesting, so was the crashed plane, but then it kind of stopped.

It doesn't have to be huge changes just something more than "go here touch this". You have a solid base, you just need to expand on it

I havent played it yet but the reviews look trusting i thinking its a exploring game depending on its scene of choice.

This is not looking like a prototype

I definitely should have read the game description before playing to understand that humans no longer dictate the rules, but regardless, that was one heck of an experience. I enjoyed the layout of the game, I enjoyed the music, I enjoyed the suspense of running around the robots or whatever they were, I enjoyed the story that was being told, etc. It was definitely amazing to play, although I wish there was a little bit more to it than running beacon to beacon, it was fun :) 4/5 from me

Thank you for all the great feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it !

Realmente se ve k amas los videojuegos.

This was incredibly moving despite being somewhat minimalist. The music really sets a mood that's hard to capture and you nailed it.

Thank you so much ! I left my support .

The credit for the music goes all to Chris Zabriskie and Savfk .

Even though I gave you so little I loved to watch your interpretations of the story ...

i dig it, I love the mystery

Hiii, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share some feedback about it, hopefully it is useful to you ^^

-The concept is quite good :)

-The visual style has something that makes the game eyecatching and feels really enjoyable.

-The gameplay mechanics are really straight forward and easy to get into.

-The "story" on the game is interesting.

Hopefully this is useful to you :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)

Regards

Thank you for your feedback

Visually stunning, neat atmosphere, great story, simple, yet complex plot and great mechanics.
I loved the game, had tons of fun playing it and exploring the area, but I want to see more from this, it has a potential. Really great story and very well executed tension.

I just watched the video and left my support . Thank you so much for all the feedback , praises and just playing the game !

(For what is worth I think that you did a pretty good job in the commentary video , at least I can say for sure that your english is way better than mine and requires guts to do something like that ) .

Thank you. Your game really surprised me, I don't do lot of commentaries, but I felt it was unique and it is, great job on the game.

Quite the atmosphere. I wonder if I missed notes - boy were they hard to find for me ^^

[had to re-upload because I accidentally deleted some of the most important game audio while editing at first]

Dude, I didn't realize that you had made a video ... I stopped right away to see it ( left a like, of course ) . Thank you so much, this is surreal for me!

I wish I had made the whole experience better, but it was all I could do in a week . Next time I will do much better .

( Btw , there were 5 notes )
